'Fauna' - oil on wood - 10"x10" framed to 13.5" x 13.5"
'Faunas' story began with a hunter who took the life of a small fawn, a fawn who was the embodiment of a young girl. When he saw her he fell to the ground thinking he shot a girl and not the fawn he intended. The fawns distinct white spotted patterns making their way from its head into her hair as she is choking back tears that are tightly around her neck. An exposed wood background to add to the overall natural essence of the piece. This moment depicts her after she makes her transition from fawn to human, moments before she is found by the hunter.
